About this interview
A case interview on Execution & Metrics, pitched at the medium level. A voice AI interviewer leads the conversation, adapts its questions to your answers, keeps you on topic, and afterward gives you honest, specific feedback on where you were strong and where to improve. Expect roughly 30 minutes.
What you'll be assessed on
Score a 3-4 item backlog on Reach × Impact × Confidence ÷ Effort and correctly compute RICE scores under time pressure
Break a near-tied RICE score using sequencing/dependency logic and skepticism about round or overstated Confidence inputs, not the formula alone
Run a 5-Whys chain to a systemic, actionable root cause (e.g. a missing monitoring alert) rather than stopping at a symptom-level 'why #2' answer
Distinguish this family's depth-first causal chain from Execution I's breadth-first hypothesis elimination when probed on method
Re-justify a prioritization call when a key input (e.g. Effort) is changed mid-session
What to expect
You're the product lead at a fleet-maintenance SaaS company with four backlog items and room for exactly one this quarter.
You'll score them the way real product teams do, then defend your recommendation when it's challenged from more than one direction.
Later in the same session, a real driver-facing bug shows up, and you'll have to trace it past the obvious first explanation to find the actual, fixable root cause.
