Back to Behavioral & Fit (Cross-Functional)
About this interview
A behavioral interview on Seniority & format ladder, pitched at the medium level. A voice AI interviewer leads the conversation, adapts its questions to your answers, keeps you on topic, and afterward gives you honest, specific feedback on where you were strong and where to improve. Expect roughly 30 minutes.
What you'll be assessed on
Narrate a performance-management or exit story with process detail: the specific skill/will/fit gap named, documented steps taken, and the actual conversation stated without euphemism
Answer directly how long a known underperformance situation was allowed to continue before acting, since avoidable prolongation is a named red flag at this level
Describe a resourcing or cross-team prioritization tradeoff where two valid priorities competed for insufficient headcount, and defend the call made
Avoid crediting a team's technical output solely to themselves, instead describing their role as unblocking, deciding, and coaching
Handle disagreeing with their own manager's direction as a distinct story from peer-conflict, showing upward-management judgment

A few sample questions
Just examples to set expectations - the real interview has many more and adapts to your responses.
“Tell me about a time you had to performance-manage someone on your team who wasn't meeting the bar.
“Describe a time you had to hire someone into a role where the previous person in that role had failed, and what you changed about your hiring process as a result.
“Describe a time you had to make a call on whether a long-tenured but resistant-to-change team member needed to adapt or move on.
